Chipotle? What about it?
Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. is an American fast food restaurant chain. As most of you already know, it serves build your own burritos, burrito bowls, and tacos. Chipotle is one of the few fast food chains that actually serves, and I personally love Chipotle. About two years ago, I read an article saying that this person lost weight and actually became healthy after eating Chipotle every day for three months. There still are people writing about "Chipotle intermittent fasting diet" or "regular Chipotle Diet". However, audiences (including me in the past) seem to miss the most important factor in losing weight, and I am going to talk about it.
 Answer: Yes and No
As all of you should know (unless you are genetically fortunate), losing weight is not easy at all. However, according to the article, "A Chipotle Diet Helped This Man Achieve a 20-lbs. Weight Loss", this man ate Chipotle everyday for 3 months and lost 20 pounds (Wildenradt, R 2018). 20 pounds! How many days of chicken breasts would it take to lose 20 pounds? Yes, another easy diet trend!  The answer was yes for this guy, but what about you?
I mean... there actually is a study about fast food having less calorie than Fast Casual Entrees. According to the study, fast casual entrées had "SIGNIFICANTLY calories per entrée(760±301 kcal) than fast-food entrées (561±268; P<0.0001)." (Schoffman, D., et al, 2016). But, think about Chipotle. What do you order? Just simple and small burrito? Right, you can add on whatever you want and you will pay the same price (except adding the guacamole).
I mean, do you see the pictures on the                                                          Right?-->
That is the Chipotle bowl that I really want, but apparently, the guy from the article had the bowl on the top for 90 days consecutively.

Then, how was or is this possible for some people?
There is the calorie counting system on Chipotle website, and if I click in the ingredients that I usually get (Steak, brown rich, black beans, Fajita vegetables, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo red chili salsa, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and lettuce), it tells me that my bowl is 1080 calories. So much for 10 dollars, wow.

People tend to focus only on what they like to see, and forget about the other side. And for this article, audiences, including myself in the past, are missing lots of information. The article states that he had 1800 calories on the days he worked out and only 1200 calories on the days he rested. My usually plate is 1080 calories... Do you see what the problem is? The man eating Chipotle every day and getting fit and muscular really had no relationship. It only confirmed that Chipotle does not harm your body, and this article just made it sound like he became good looking because what he ate. It was acutally his GOAL and MOTIVATION that eventually made him lose weight. The real deal here is not the food itself, but is this question: "can you have anything just less than 1200 calories a day?"

Here is the answer with supported evidence.
Dr. Oelke's experiment resulted that people, who were given the the Awareness, Motivation, Skills, and Opportunity Framework for Health Promotion, lost weight, were more active, had more positive mind-set, ate healthier, and became more confident to change lifestyles (Oelke, N. et al, 2018). As resulted in the experiment, I want to point out that YOU are the key. You have all those diet choices, and it is still YOU who is going to weather stick with them or give up. Knowing that you need to change and having motivation to put yourself to work are way more important than which diet you use. So, Let's stop thinking about easy ways and start with what you can do steadily and effectively. I highly recommend you use 'Chipotle intermittent fasting diet' if you really can do it. (But, not for me)
