Do you enjoy reading?
Do you need CEUs? Join The Digestible Book Club! What is The Digestible Book Club? The Digestible Book Club is a book and journal club. As a group we will meet and openly discuss the themes and impact of the book or seminal journal article selected, on you the reader, the field of nutrition and the general population. Meeting facilitation will be led by Dr. George. The Digestible Book Club is a no-judgement, no-grade, enlightening place to discuss and expand your mind with the many topics of food and nutrition. Books on the reading list are meant to cover multiple topics and to incite discussion of how they are helpful or harmful to our profession. The Digestible Book Club is open to all majors so please share with your friends. How does The Digestible Book Club work? There will be two book club options each year. You have the opportunity to sign up (and commit) for a meeting date through the info box to the left on this page. You will then read the book or article over the six to 8 week time period. At the end of the reading time, we will meet up for a fun and open discussion of the book. Pot-luck style snacks will be provided by the group. Each book club meeting will be from 5 to 15 people.
